3 Sisters Who Fly

One delightful thing about internet is the people who you come across that you might never meet in person. In answering a thread about Native American crafters started by 3sistersbeads at Etsy.com, I found many other crafters with a similar background. Although far flung, each seller seemed to share a similar desire to connect with others like them. What was refreshing was the variety in the types of  crafts and styles of each person. No stereotypical styles seemingly, but a similar heart.

Puttering around the different shops I was impressed by 3sistersbeads style and the quality of their work. Their blog http://3sistersbeads.blogspot.com has the most inspiring pieces! I checked out their etsy shop, and while the number of pieces is small, the work is sweet!  I love the organic feel to their designs and the fluidity and power they express. These pieces really soar!  The greatest examples are on their blog, but I've put up a few pics from their shop to whet your appetite! Go to 3sistersbeads today!

Gilbea Silk Scarves - Designed for Beauty

I love Gilbea's awesome hand designed and painted silk scarves! They are a luscious slice of color and art to tresure and wear with those less exciting outfits. Sometimes you will wear something and your face just looks dull with it. I usually grab jewelry to fill the void, but nothing can match the softness and color of silk near your face or around your waist. Gilbea does these lovely, organic designs that are colorful and somehow childlike and fun. I love her great new line of shirts and tops with silk panels inserted in the bodice design. Go explore http://www.gilbea.etsy.com and find your perfect accessory!! Check out Gilbea's blog too, at http://gilbea.blogspot.com/ .
