I found this great old design book in our library. It is from the 50's and has these wonderful old images and ideas for making designs on many surfaces, from ceramics, to clothing and linens, etc.
It is by Joan Priolo Designs and How to Use Them and even has color keys and varied color schemes for each design. I love the quirky old drawings and the super abundance of the designs. If you can find this book on ebay or online with a used book seller, snap it up!!
